For all you Mizzou Tiger's Fan's out there! My husband graduated from Mizzou, so it is in A's blood now too!
Just came up with this little Taggie the other day.

Just another one I whipped up while I was sewing.

Baby A's Pinkalicious 1st Birthday Party!

I had been planning A's big day for months. A just LOVES this book called, "Pinkalicious". I thought it would be a perfect theme for her 1st birthday party!! A lot of time went into the theme and how to carry it out. I feel her 1st birthday was a huge success and a ton of fun! All was hand made by myself unless otherwise noted below!
The story is this little girls turns pink after eating all kinds of pink cup cakes and to turn back to normal she has to eat green foods (why there are green and pink food and drinks!).
The drinks were
Pink Lemonade and Green tea along with other soft drinks, beer, wine and sangria!
The food was
Cupcakes, cotton candy, sweedish fish, strawberry waffers, satraberry animal crackers, bubble gum, pink tootsie rolls, jelly bellies, broccoli/veggies, buffalo dip, Gus' pretzle,fruit-watermelon, grapes, strawberries. Then we had salsa and some chips! I think that was about it! I feel like I am missing something tho!

This is her Memory book for everyone to write in! I thought this was super cute!!!

DOODLEKINS!!!! These were made by Doodlekins for her party! Doodlekins made the goody bags, address labels and stickers and the back of the invitation for her party!!! They used the cup cake theme to tie into this and A was like the cup cake with a cherry on top!!! I HIGHLY reccomend Doodlekins for any event! They are SO resonable too!!!

Each table had a cup cake photo on it! Then this was the flower centerpiece for the bar!

Her Invitations!

Hair Bow Holder

Take a empty cereal box or card board and cut it out.



Then take fabric and hot glue it to the box.
Pick out ribbon and hot glue it to the box in three rows.
Finally, take the ribbon and hot glue it to the top of it. This will be where you hang the bow holder from!

And here is your finshed project!

 I made two. I just used both sides of the cereal box :)

Recycled Women's Sweater into a New Sweater Dress and Leg Warmers for Baby A!

Ok, so once again, I found myself with a lot of extra free time. After the laundry was done, house clean, and babies were finally napping I took it upon myself to do a little R&R.
I bought this Size Small Womans sweater from Goodwill for $3.00. Brand new with tags too. I was bummed it was too short on me-oh well. It is perfect for my baby doll!

Basically this is what I did for the Leg Warmers

Step 1:
Cut off the arms, but make sure to leave some as I did for later.

Step 2:Turn inside out and sew elastic at the top. Then fold over the top of the sweater to cover the elastic and sew closed.
Flip it to the right side out and You have yourself a pair of Leg Warmers!
SUPER EASY, Right?!?!

Now, for the sweater dress.

This was a little more challenging that I thought, but it was not hard.
Step 1: Cut off the sleeves
Step 2: Cut off the bottom to make the skirt part of it
Step 3: Measure how wide you need the dress to be and then cut the sweater to where it should be. Same goes for the skirt too.
Step 4: Sew the cut off part of the skirt. Sew the sides and then the top. As your sewing the top you can opt to gather it to make it a little more like pleaded if you choose.
Step 5: Sew back on the sleeves after you made the adjustments to fit your child.
Step 6: Sew the sides of the dress
Step 7: Sew the last two peices together. The dress and the skirt part. And once you do this you are finished!

3 for 1

Ok, so I know it has been a while since I have found the time for my "therapy".  A lot has been going on and having the sewing machine out with thousands of peices of fabric all over is not ideal when your house is on the market!
First thing I created was A's St Patricks Day outfit.  A TuTu Onesie!!

Well, lets back that up. The shirt originally said "Dad's Thirty" on his birthday.  He was not to keen on her adorable shirt she was sporting. In fact, his exact words were, "Zip it up!"

So I figured this may be more appropriate.

Just changed the shirt from saying, "Dads Thirty" to "Dads ThirSty". Thought it was pretty cute. I then sewed on the elastic to the shirt and then took the tulle and tied it on the elastic, so the TuTu is part of the shirt.



Then I made a St Patty's Day TuTu for Thursday's Craft fair.

Then began to work on my nephew Jake's, "Jake's Place" city. This is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am hoping I have it done by this week for his 3rd birthday!!!

And finally I made a Taggie blanket :)

Leg Warmers

Looks like I will be making some of these since I packed my coat away. Not thinking I would need my coat anymore, but I forgot it is like Alaska outside!
